  • Recommended for remineralizing water stripped of minerals. Generally, remineralizing is required when water is stripped of minerals such as rain water, reverse osmosis and distilled water. It is also advised to remineralise very soft water. FYI: Rain water in plastic tanks is 5.9pH acidic, without minerals

What is Maifanite?

This refill contains clay balls and Maifanite — also known as Wisdom Stone — a mineral-rich weathered granite used for centuries across China, Japan and Korea to remineralise drinking water. It naturally contains around 62 elements, including calcium, magnesium, potassium and trace rare-earth minerals, and is non-toxic and safe for drinking water use.

Maifanite (called Maifanshi in Ancient China) is a compound mineral produced in valley streams of porphyritic pea gravel, composed of weathered granite and diorite — plagioclase, black mica, quartz, hornblende and more. Its main chemical components are inorganic aluminosilicates including SiO2, Fe2O3, FeO, MgO, CaO, K2O, Na2O, TiO2, P2O5 and MnO, alongside constant elements needed by humans and animals: K, Na, Ca, Mg, Cu, Mo and other trace elements.
