Active Pure Xtra

Active Pure Xtra

At the heart of the Active Pure Xtra Filter is high-performance activated carbon, a trusted filtration technology for removing chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, herbicides, and unpleasant tastes & odors. Activated carbon works through adsorption, where contaminants adhere to its highly porous surface, resulting in cleaner, fresher-tasting water.

However, the Active Pure Xtra Filter goes beyond standard carbon filtration, integrating KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) and GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) technologies to provide enhanced contaminant filtration, extended filter life, and superior drinking water protection.

Designed for Long-Lasting Performance

The Active Pure Xtra 3-Year Replacement Filter is engineered to purify up to 30,000 litres of water, offering consistent filtration performance and peace of mind.

Why choose Active Pure Xtra

Heavy metal removal (KDF)

Redox reactions target aluminium and lead, converting them into less soluble forms and precipitating them out before they reach your glass.

Bacteriostatic protection

KDF inhibits bacteria, algae and fungal growth inside the filter itself — keeping filtration consistent over the full 3-year life.

GAC chemical & taste reduction

Granular activated carbon adsorbs organic compounds, chemicals and unpleasant tastes and odours for noticeably cleaner water.

CERTIFICATIONS & LONGEVITY

Up to 3 years per filter

— vs. 6–12 months for standard carbon filters, so fewer replacements and lower cost over time
NZS 3497:1998 — Hydrostatic & Burst Pressure
NZS 4348:1995 — Giardia & Cryptosporidium
NSF Standard 53 — Health Effects
Food-grade, BPA & phthalate-free

*Actual lifespan depends on your water source and usage.
