When inserting the removing the filter from the vita machine you want to make sure the filter stays upright as much as possible. There is a wrench provided with the machine to assist in twisting the filter as there is little room for fingers. Some people have accidentally pulled the filter out with force on an angle and this has damaged the housing. Check this has not happened and if it has you may need to replace the ioniser base or the filter, whichever has been damaged. Here is a video on what removing the filter should look like.

After inserting the new filter:

  1. Hold down the Purified water button for about 4 seconds until you hear a ‘ding’ - the screen should show 3000L.
  2. Press the Acidic Water button.
  3. Then press the Alkaline Water button – make sure you see 3000L again.
  4. Press the Purified water button several times until you cycle back to the main screen - Filter life on the bottom left of the main screen should show 3000L, having now reset the filter life.
