The Alka City Total is designed specifically for treated town water, where chlorine, fluoride, and common contaminants are present.

This system combines multi-stage filtration with a dedicated FluorEx stage to reduce fluoride, alongside carbon and ultrafiltration to improve taste, reduce chemicals, and support everyday water quality. The FluorEx media is also designed to reduce arsenic.

Unlike many conventional fluoride filters that rely on activated alumina, the FluorEx stage uses a mineral-based media, designed to reduce contaminants without aluminium-based filtration materials.

After filtration, the Alka Spring stage restores minerals such as calcium and magnesium, improving taste and creating a smoother, more natural drinking experience.

This makes the Alka City Total a complete everyday system for households on town supply wanting a reliable improvement in water quality, while keeping the minerals that make water taste good.

I have been using this product for more than 10 years. My family and friends all love drinking my water, and they even bring containers to fill up from my tap. I have become so used to having clean, fresh-tasting water with no smell that I am now very sensitive to the taste and smell of water served at cafés and restaurants.

Find your service impeccable - get an email to let me know it is time for the filter to be replaced then I get another to let me know the funds will be taken from the account. Once it is sent I get an update with a courier tracking number. Totally hassle free what more could you want!

Our FluorEx Max Results

We are extremely happy with the FluorEx Max and the results have been better than we expected. We have been testing our water regularly, and the fluoride level reduced from 0.47 ppm in September 2025 to approximately 0.05 ppm by June 2026. It has been very reassuring to see such a significant improvement over time, and we are genuinely impressed that the filter is still performing so well. Knowing that our drinking water now contains far less fluoride gives us real peace of mind, and we would happily recommend the FluorEx Max to anyone looking for an effective fluoride filtration system.

Particles in alkaline water

We love the alkaline water but this last filter had white mineral particles floating in the water for about 2 weeks. They’ve mostly gone now but most of the family won’t use the alkaline tap now
